Why Choose Expion360? A Look Inside.
Smart BMS (Battery Management System)
Our proprietary "Smart" BMS protects your investment. It features low-temp discharge and auto-shutoff for cold weather performance, alongside high/low voltage shutoffs, short-circuit protection, and overcurrent disconnects. The BMS is structurally bolted to the pack with an oversized heatsink for years of trouble-free operation.
Robust Case Design
We are the first in the industry to integrate rubber feet directly into the case, eliminating vibration and sliding. The case is crafted from fiberglass-infused ABS plastic (meeting UL 94V-0 fire retardant ratings) with radiused corners for structural strength.
Modular Mounting
Our exclusive Edge Rail System allows you to securely mount multiple batteries side-by-side or lock them down individually, ensuring zero movement on rough terrain.
Industry-Leading 12-Year Warranty
Buying lithium is an investment in your freedom. We back that investment with a 12-year warranty—one of the best in the business. Combined with our U.S.-based customer support team trained specifically in lithium technology, you can explore with total confidence.
FAQs
While the EX1 is a single massive block (up to 450Ah) designed to replace an entire bank, the EX2 Edge is designed for modularity. Its 240Ah size is easier to handle and install in tighter spaces, and its unique rail mounting system allows you to "daisy chain" multiple units together physically. It is the perfect middle ground between our drop-in Group 27s and the industrial EX1.
The EX2 Edge features a specialized base compatible with our Mounting Add-On Kits. You start with a Base Kit for the first battery, and then use Add-On brackets to lock the second, third, or fourth battery directly to the first one. This creates a solid, unified battery bank that doesn't require complex straps or custom-fabricated boxes.
Lithium batteries cannot accept a charge below freezing (32°F) without damage. Our VHC™ technology uses internal heating pads to warm the battery cells automatically, allowing you to charge safely even in winter conditions.
240Ah is a "sweet spot" for many RVers. It provides enough power to run inverters, microwaves, and coffee makers without the bulk of a 400Ah system. Two EX2 batteries in parallel give you 480Ah, which rivals the capacity of large luxury coach systems in a much more flexible form factor.
Yes, all EX2 Edge models feature our SmartTalk™ Bluetooth technology. You can download the Expion360 app to view real-time voltage, current, state-of-charge, and remaining runtime directly on your phone.
UL 1973 is one of the most rigorous safety standards for energy storage systems. Achieving this compliance means our battery packs have passed extensive testing for resistance to abuse—including overcharging, short-circuiting, and fire exposure. For you, this means verified safety for your family and your rig, often meeting stricter requirements for insurance and marine regulations that non-compliant batteries cannot pass.
While UL 1973 covers the entire battery pack, UL 1642 focuses specifically on the individual lithium cells inside. Using UL 1642 recognized cells ensures that the foundational building blocks of our batteries have been independently tested for stability and safety. We don't cut corners; we build our packs using only top-tier, certified cells to ensure maximum longevity and reliability.
