The main difference is physical size and capacity. A Group 27 battery is slightly longer (approx. 12 inches) compared to a Group 24 (approx. 10.2 inches). If your battery box has the extra length available, upgrading to our Group 27 LiFePO4 is an excellent choice because you gain significant capacity (up to 132Ah) for only a negligible increase in weight and price.
Most medium-to-large travel trailers and marine battery compartments are built to accommodate Group 27 batteries. We recommend measuring your existing battery tray or box before ordering. You need a space at least 12.6" long x 6.8" wide to comfortably fit our Group 27 line.
