The GC2 size (approx. 10.2" L x 7.1" W x 10.9" H) is taller and narrower than a standard car battery. For RVers, this is often the best way to maximize limited tongue or compartment space. By using two of our 12V 162Ah GC2 batteries, you can create a massive 324Ah bank in the same footprint that would usually only hold ~220Ah of lead-acid (which only has ~110Ah usable).
Yes! The 48V 36Ah GC2 is designed specifically for this. Unlike older setups that require wiring multiple 6V or 8V batteries in series to get 48V, our battery provides native 48V power. You can simply connect 2–4 of them in parallel to get the range you need. (e.g., 3 batteries = 108Ah @ 48V).

- The 162Ah model is 12V. This allows you to replace a pair of 6V lead-acid batteries with a single 12V unit (or two 12V units for double the power).
- The 36Ah model is 48V. This simplifies high-voltage systems by removing the need for series connections.
If you are installing a single GC2 battery into a space that doesn't have a tight battery box (like an open RV compartment or a custom van build), we recommend the Single Mounting Kit. It secures the battery base to the floor to prevent tipping or sliding during transit, which is critical for the taller GC2 profile.
Our 12V 162Ah model comes with VHC™ (Vertical Heat Conduction) technology. If you camp in freezing temps, this internal heater warms the battery to allow safe charging. Note: Check the specific product page for the 48V model features regarding heating.
While UL 1973 covers the entire battery pack, UL 1642 focuses specifically on the individual lithium cells inside. Using UL 1642 recognized cells ensures that the foundational building blocks of our batteries have been independently tested for stability and safety. We don't cut corners; we build our packs using only top-tier, certified cells to ensure maximum longevity and reliability.
