Why Choose Expion360? A Look Inside.
Smart BMS (Battery Management System)
Our proprietary "Smart" BMS protects your investment. It features low-temp discharge and auto-shutoff for cold weather performance, alongside high/low voltage shutoffs, short-circuit protection, and overcurrent disconnects. The BMS is structurally bolted to the pack with an oversized heatsink for years of trouble-free operation.
Robust Case Design
We are the first in the industry to integrate rubber feet directly into the case, eliminating vibration and sliding. The case is crafted from fiberglass-infused ABS plastic (meeting UL 94V-0 fire retardant ratings) with radiused corners for structural strength.
Superior Power Transfer
We eliminated fragile solder points. Our cells are welded via thick copper machined collector plates, creating a mechanical backbone that reduces resistance and heat buildup. Our terminal pads are 96.7% larger than standard terminals, featuring opposing connection points for flexible mounting and reduced cross-polarity risks.
Industry-Leading 12-Year Warranty
Buying lithium is an investment in your freedom. We back that investment with a 12-year warranty—one of the best in the business. Combined with our U.S.-based customer support team trained specifically in lithium technology, you can explore with total confidence.
FAQs
"Group 24" refers to the physical dimensions of the battery case (approx. 10.2" L x 6.6" W). This is the industry-standard size for most travel trailers, smaller RVs, and marine vessels. If your current battery box fits a standard lead-acid Group 24, our Expion360 LiFePO4 versions will drop right in—no modifications required.
It comes down to energy density. Our 95Ah Group 24 battery is an engineering breakthrough—it packs nearly the same capacity as a physically larger Group 27 battery into the smaller Group 24 footprint. Choose the 95Ah if you have limited battery tray space but need maximum power for boondocking. Choose the 60Ah if you want the lightest possible weight for basic loads or trolling motors.
Group 24 line, the AURA Powercap is an inverter attachment that snaps directly onto the top of the battery. It instantly transforms your 12V battery into a portable 600W power station with AC outlets and USB ports. It allows you to pull the battery out of your RV and take it anywhere—to the beach, the campsite picnic table, or on a boat.
You will typically cut your battery weight in half. A standard lead-acid Group 24 battery weighs about 45–50 lbs. Our Expion360 Group 24 lithium batteries weigh just 21–25 lbs. If you have a tongue-mounted battery box, this significantly reduces your tongue weight and improves towing handling.
For the best performance, yes. While our batteries are compatible with most systems, a standard lead-acid charger will likely only charge a lithium battery to ~80-90%. To get the full 100% capacity and ensure the cells balance properly for a 12-year lifespan, we recommend upgrading to a LiFePO4-compatible converter or charger.
Yes. Because Expion360 batteries use "dry" LiFePO4 chemistry and are fully sealed, they can be mounted in any orientation (except upside down) without leaking. This gives you flexibility in tight storage compartments where a vertical install might not fit.
